Make your mind up about it all, only after speaking to various people. Locals who run decent clothes shops, concierges, other tourists, and so on, are the perfect people from which one can find out where to go, and on which nights.
Some clubs simply just come and go, from what one can tell. They can easily get renamed, and a newish sort of club would usually be pretty busy. Be sure to find exactly what you are interested in looking for, making the experience, worthwhile.
