Little Tokyo in L.A. is seeking to get back the Japanese vibe in the place. Neighborhood leaders says the Nikkei Center ($300 million project of complex of apartments, shops and public areas) is the last hope to maintain the community's strong Japanese character.
Bill Watanbe, president of Little Tokyo Services Center, said that they would like to have a Japanese touch or flavor but not the pagoda sort of thing.
